REFLECTION
Throughout the entire voyage of intercultural design, it appeared to be an interesting experience because I had the opportunity to experience cultural differences abroad with coursemates during my undergraduate career. Since I had studied intercultural communication before, which was also part of the intercultural cross-cultural module, comparing the two modules showed that, aside from being conducted in a physical mode, intercultural design seemed to be a more "designed" module. Prior to beginning this module, I was concerned that it would be tedious because we would be studying the forgotten history of another country (and I hate history). But, luckily, I met a set of teammates who had the same objective. Despite having distinct design thinking and approaches, we were able to cooperate and achieve our final goal—completing this course. To sum up, the most difficult component of this module was the "construction" of the prototype. That was because the project had dropped in the final week and I had additional assignments that needed to be performed concurrently; I couldn't get off my teammates' backs although I felt quite uncomfortable for the work disruptions sometimes. Yet, despite how miserable, unfair, and stressful the process was, I am really pleased and proud to have completed it. As the saying goes, people only feel pain during the process; once it is complete, all that remains are feelings of satisfaction and relaxation. And I concluded that I truly deserved a pleasant dream after several nights! 😶🌫️🥱
