Experiential Design - Task 2 : Experience Design Project Proposal
INSTRUCTION
Based on their findings in Task 1, students are required to come up with an experience design project from a subject/topic of their choice. This can be anything from screen experience to physical space experience. They are required to create a professional experience design proposal document that explains their project idea and how will the experience be for the user.
The proposal should contain analysis of current experience, comparison with similar solutions and how it can be better, Sketches to visualize the experience, Mock design of how the final outcome should be from the user’s perspective. The project looks to develop the students’ understanding of what is an experience design and their creativity to come up with a good, unique, and magical experience design. It also looks to their ability to analyse explain and breakdown their ideas into a proposal document.
EXPLORATION
After receiving the requirement, I start to explore the potential idea for the proposal. After some idea exploration, I finalised the 3 potential idea.
#Ideation 1 - AR Storytelling : StoryAR
StoryAR is an innovative application that brings traditional storytelling to life through the power of augmented reality (AR). It aims to engage users of all ages in captivating narratives by blending the real and virtual worlds. By leveraging AR technology, StoryAR offers a unique and immersive storytelling experience that sparks imagination and enhances the way stories are consumed.
#Ideation 2 - AR Postcard : PostAR
The AR Postcard is an innovative application that combines the charm of traditional postcards with the magic of augmented reality. It allows users to send personalized, interactive digital experiences embedded within physical postcards.
#Ideation 3 - AR Science Lab : Journey Through Universe
Create an Augmented Reality (AR) Experience Solar System application that able the user to learn the 8 solar system.

Following the feedback received, I proceeded with further development to create the final proposal based on the given requirements. I have compiled all the necessary documents, including visual sketches, mockups, and art direction, in a PDF file provided below:

Since we had to do a visual presentation, I went ahead and made some slides to make it easier for me during the presentation.

REFLECTION
The journey of proposal ideation has been quite a ride! It all started when I stumbled upon this mind-blowing image of the universe in a virtual reality post on Instagram. I was instantly captivated and couldn't help but think about how amazing it would be to bring that experience closer to people. So, I began brainstorming and playing around with ideas. That's when the concept of creating a 3D solar system popped into my head. I thought, "Hey, why not make learning about the solar system interactive and fun?"
To be honest, the process was exhausting at times. There were moments when I felt drained and questioning if it was worth it. But in the end, when I saw how the idea came together, I couldn't help but feel proud and satisfied. I'm really excited about this ideation because it combines education with technology in a way that's accessible and engaging. It's all about bringing the wonders of space to life and igniting that sense of curiosity in people.
Overall, I'd say I'm tired but pleased with how this journey of ideation turned out. It just goes to show that inspiration can come from anywhere, even an Instagram post, and with a little creativity, we can turn it into something truly amazing.
