# Important Notes :
1. What is a Critical Review?
It is an explicit type of critical writing that requires you to evaluate some aspects of :

d. Conclusions
e. Logic (what assumptions does the author make)
Project 2 : Critical Review
MODULE INFORMATION
INSTRUCTION
We are instructed to select relevant secondary sources such as publications and online journal articles (total of five articles). Ensure the article are relevant to the research topics and updated (within the last 5 years ; 2017-2022). Then, write a review critically and synthesise them on these five articles.
EXPLORATION
For the Week 6, it can stated no progression for me on critical review draft since I still exploring and searching for the potential research articles. But for the particular week, I did showed my progression and yet questioned my confusion towards the assignments.
Week 7 progression :
Fig 1.1 Week 7 Progression Check, Article Review #1, PDF (Week 7/ 13.10.2022)
For the week 7 progression check, I presented my critical review on my first article yet receiving some feedbacks from Dr. Hayati. In facts on this moment, my progression had slightly slower than my other peer so I need to rush up the time to submit before the deadline.
Week 7 / 13.10.2022 @ Critical Review
General Feedback :
1. All the 5 articles should be Journal articles, no thesis, website, blog etc.
2. For academic writing, avoid using “from, for’ with” at the first word of the sentence.
Specific Feedback :
1. Find article that are related to your scope (UI/UX design in e-commerce.
2. You are allowed to use hardcopy, something that suits you or you prefer to complete the task.
3. It is not applicable to compare and contrast for this assignment, but if you wish to then you must proceed with it.
4. Research Article :
- E-commerce is not the same as mobile application; e-commerce might be Zalora, Shopee etc (can go through by phone & website) but for mobile applications, it contains a huge amount which might be banking related, health related or etc.
- Although the text does not contain the word “Shopee '' or “Amazon '', if the articles are related to your area of study, UI/UX design in e-commerce platforms then it is applicable/relevant.
After receiving the feedbacks, I continued on reviewing the articles and finalised the five articles that I wish to study in this particular assignment.

FEEDBACK
Week 6 / 06.10.2022 @ Critical Review
General Feedback :
APA reference for the research proposal was incorrect, take the library workshop as samples to revise it.
Specific Feedback :
Research articles :
1. You don’t necessarily have to focus on Shopee. As you were doing a comparative study, Shopee and Amazon were only the instrument for your evaluation to compare and contrast but should be within the areas of UI/UX design.
2. To check whether the article is relevant, you may check on how the author studies towards UI/UX design.
3. It is fine to have content without Shopee and Amazon, but must have context within your areas of study, but it is necessary when you are doing your primary data.
Critical Review :
1. Critical Review can be stated as an exercise or reference to boost our primary data.
2. You are fine to have other languages for the articles but for revising the critical review, english language is required.
3. Don’t use thesis articles, check on academic journals which are more suitable for the current research stage.
4. Recommended on using articles after 2019 (within 5 years from the current year).
5. Summary the article in Mendeley, take the samples of critical review in google classroom as reference.

REFLECTION
Week 5
For this particular week, I experienced the Mendeley application and started to revise the proposal based on the feedback given. My progress this week has been a little slower than I had anticipated because I've been spending a lot of time reading and researching the articles that will be the subject of my critical review.
Week 6
I found that I was complicating something very simple and facing myself in a frustrating situation. After a feedback session with Dr. Hayati, luckily things got better and I overcame the "hardships", although I was actually on the right track with the research article.
Week 7
This week, controlling my time has been the biggest problem. As the deadline approaches and my progress slows, I need to devote more time to this task than anybody else. Not only that, but I discovered that, in addition to time, my attention had a significant role in my progress. As a design student, I was annoyed with the article pdf because of the extensive drawing and idea of the drawing board, and I felt tired at first sight. But luckily, at the end, using the oldest hardcopy approach in this technological age is my final resort to complete the task.
