WEEK 2 @ THE MUSIC BEAT

INSTRUCTION

Feel the music beat, feel yourself and create an artwork using the elements of art such as, line, colour, shapes, etc.

The first music played is "Dream Dust" by Juno Dreams, my idea on developing is to create a figure by using the two heart shape. I try to create something relevant to the Valentine's Day since the day is around the corner. To creating a texture of "love" clouds, I try several brushes to make the clouds looks interesting. And, I did added two character in the middle of the heart shaped clouds to animate one of the character is passing his "love" to the another.

FEEDBACK

They looks like lips or kisses! Interesting, got a strong dominance on two shapes combining together. Strong unity.

The 2nd music played was "Future Horizon" by Juno Dreams. The idea of this creation is to create a form of ocean but in yellow theme. I added some water textures to make the ocean more active and real. Also, I putted some green dots on the upper-left to create a sense of trees and leaves.

FEEDBACK

I perceived it as a sky. Clear used on shapes, texture, distance. Interesting!

After weeks of studies, I decided to make some changes to this design concept. The first idea was to build a type of ocean, but I believe the 'future' should be colourful, therefore I chose to convert to a more vibrantly coloured themed design without abandoning the notion of having a mountain, ocean, and tree.

REFLECTION

This task or can be stated as activity is so interesting and amazing!! 🤩 I can't imagine the power of music can lead us to produce so many creative ideas and even create such beautiful illustration until we ended the session. I do really enjoying in exploring design elements and principles when creating the artworks.
